Selectable text
Section titled “Selectable text”You can select and copy text out of the journal:
- Drag to highlight text.
- Ctrl + C copies the selection.
- Ctrl + A selects all visible entries.
- Esc clears the selection.
Selection respects your active filters, auto-scrolls, and preserves timestamps.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”You can adjust the journal opacity, background color, and choice of gump style under Options->TazUO->Journal
Additional options:
- Journal transparency — make the journal transparent when it isn’t the active/idle window.
- Disable system chat while Resizable Journal is open — suppresses incoming system chat whenever the Resizable Journal is open (separate from the general “Disable System Chat” toggle).
- Hide journal timestamps — hides timestamps in the journal. The classic/original journal gump now respects this setting too.
- Classify matching system messages as Global Chat — under
Options -> Chat -> Journal, when enabled, server-sent system messages that match the configured Global Chat system message regex (a .NET regular expression) are reclassified as Global Chat, so they show up in the Global Chat tab and filters. Invalid or blank patterns simply match nothing. Timestamped messages sent by your own character are also classified, so they appear in the Global Chat tabs too.
Original journal
Section titled “Original journal”Right-click the Journal tab on the top bar and choose Open original journal to open the classic/legacy journal gump alongside the resizable one.
